>> reporter: no new leads, that's what disturbing the widow the most. a crime that happened so suddenly and without warning still one year later the killer is still out there. >> she keeps a picture of her husband on the kitchen table at the spot where he used to sit. >> he was my best friend and my husband, just a good person. >> reporter: on october 8th the last year someone broke in to the home they shared in the 2600 block of edson. eve lynn stepped out for a sandwhich. she came home and found sterling dead. he had been stabbed. >> when i talk about it or think about it i get upset. this will never be easy for me, never. >> reporter: especially because even after the year nobody has been arrested. >> i just knew somebody would pay for it by now long before now. >> reporter: police say there was no physical evidence left at the scene no witnesses have

come forward. >> i think -- maybe they didn't realize what they saw but i think someone saw something. >> reporter: on august 3rd of this year a 91-year-old irene logan was stabbed to death in her home and then last month a 45-year-old anthony robinson was arrested and charged with that murder. evelyn saw the news in that arrest in a crime that was similar to her husband's murder less than two miles away she hoped robinson was responsible but police have said he is not a suspect. >> i need closure. i need someone to pay for it. >> reporter: one year later she remains in a home filled with years of good memories and a terrible one. >> they took my husband but won't take my memories and i refuse to leave, i refuse to leave. >> reporter: the typical crime stoppers reward for information leading to an arrest and

$2,000, the family has added another 2,000. the reward for information in an arrest is now $4,000, friends and family will hold a vigil in front of the palmer home tomorrow night. live in downtown baltimore,. >> the woman arrested for allegedly kidnapping a howard county child has been released. tiara williams was arrested for kidnapping a friend's child. police released her when they found she shares regular responsibility for the girl. she was once a domestic partner of the woman. police are looking for the man who robbed a royal farms. it happened in morning just before 7:00. witnesses say two men walking to the store and demanded money from the cashier. both of them had guns and then were last seen running behind the store. call police if you have information about this robbery. baltimore county police have arrested two teens they

say stole a speed camera. it was outside of the high school on north point road. it was knocked offer and pulled through the school grounds tuesday night. investigators used surveillance video from the school so track down the two suspects. the 17-year-old's have been charged with theft and destruction of property. the nation added more than 100,000 new jobs last month but the good news was hidden by the fact that unemployment is still 9%. we seem to be buck that trend. in fact analysts say the economy in the baltimore area may be looking up. the downtown partnership said new growth is coming in with jobs being added instead of decreased. bringing with it more than 700 employees. the under armor is also expanding, analysts say it's a symbol of a changing economic base. >> we are seeing a transformation from some of the heavy industry to jobs like

professional services and the marketing and clothing job that under armor is bringing in. >> business in downtown is at 20%, apartment occunancy is nearly at capacity because more and more are at downtown. >> new tonight the state is one step closer to giving people another way to get into dc. today the government gave the go ahead for a new subway line to go in toll next stage of development. potential ground breaking still years away but environmental studies and plans have to be done but if it all pans out it'll link the three mark lines, amtrak lanes and local buses. it's expected to cost two billion dollars, the state and federal government would split the cost 50/50. >> nice, crisp, clear evening

. 34 muslim men and women have been suspended from their jobs for praying on company time. the drivers work for a rental car company at the international airport. protester was holding signs. now a setts ago requires them to clock out to go pray. the company said the people didn't follow that rule but the union that represents them said the company just started enforcing the clock out policy recently and the worker is be put back in the driver's seat immediately. police are still looking for a 10-month-old missing since tuesday. today their efforts focused on a landfill. lisa irwin parents say they she was taken in the middle of the night . the mother said she was

of halloween is fast approaching and a lot of you are in the load for a good scare. are you in luck. a state like maryland is bound to have ghost stories. we encountered one of them, a haunting in hartford. we will take you to the legend of the fog, fog, fog. >> reporter: there is an old bison in front of the house and if you look closely he is the only one brave enough to take a ride. also at this place nothing grows. the property is called caution's manor and the sign said no trespassing. >> we just think about what really gets in to people's heads, we try to create a scare for everybody. this >> reporter: the scare is called legends of the fog. not quite a true ghost story with you all for a good cause. >> we feel like with an event

the size of legends of the fog we have to get a lost support from the community. we network with a lot of different charities with in the -- the community, of course the humane society of hartford, they come up and they provide manpower support with us and we give them a donation in return at the end of the year. >> donations used to support the care of the animals. we are an independent nonprofit. we count on the support of the community to help us with adoption events, even just feeding the animals and the medical care for them we get about 4500 a year which is a lot that come into us. we are an open admission shelter meaning we take everything that people bring us. the donations the community mean everything to us. >> reporter: so you think are you brave and want to help out a good cause? go head, turn onto carson's run
